Wanted to try the « Famous Fish tacos » : it was the best I ever ate ! We ate at the restaurant but people seems to order and pick up more then sit in even though there are many tables :you pay first and you get your cutlery and wait for your order .The employee who takes the order is very friendly . We tried also their Poké ahi and salmon ( choice of shoyu, spicy or teriyaki ) and there were good .

Cute place, good customer service! Good food! Beware of wasabi in the coconut milk coleslaw on the tacos. Wish they would list that, waste of $24 for my dinner :(

Wow, this place has so many reviews, thanks mainly to the tourist folk.
ATMOSPHERE:
The always-packed eatery is located in the Azeka Shopping Center next to Peggy Sue's. All indoor & outdoor seating on cool surfboard-shaped tables are communal with posted signs encouraging the sharing of personal bubble space. Thankfully we did takeout as I love my space, especially when eating lol.
MENU:
Seafood apps, salads, chowder, tacos, sandwiches, rice plates, fish/shrimp & chips, pasta.
FOOD:
Shrimp & Chips
My request of doing half shrimp and half fish with chips was denied. The seven pieces of breaded shrimp were on the smallish side, possibly even frozen, but deep fried perfectly and not oily, with a generous portion of shoestring fries, a cup of coleslaw, and cocktail sauce & ketchup for dipping. Very mainstream but good.
SERVICE:
Friendly and helpful gal was taking orders. Our takeout order took about 20 minutes as they were pumping even at 2 in the afternoon. A friendly guy brought our package out to us, double checked the order, and thanked us. Very good service!
OVERALL:
The words "coconut" and "fish" definitely riles up the tourist folk, LOL.

I stopped by Coconuts Fish Café at the Azeka location and tried the Ono grilled with salad—wow, so good! The fish was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and grilled just right. The salad was crisp and refreshing, which balanced the meal nicely. Great casual spot with a local vibe. Definitely a must-try if you love fresh seafood!
