If you plan on going up the hill, this is where you MUST stop on your way down. (With any luck you'll get Mama J as your server). We didn't do the sunrise, we went up a little later and just hiked. The volcano is stunning! But that's another review. You will not be disappointed with a stop here. Theresa (my wife), decided to have the crab cakes and some bread. (I know... Maryland crab cakes in Hawaii?! But what are you going to do...) She absolutely loved them. I tried both the bread and the cakes and both were delicious. I had the Rueben sandwich (which was thick with meat) and seasoned fries. I couldn't decide which was better... the sandwich or the fries. The fries were magical. They remained crisp even as they cooled off. So much so that we asked Mama J to find out where they got them! You have many places to eat on the island, and this is perhaps not the most convenient. I highly recommend you schedule a visit.

The best food my wife and I have had while in Maui. The restaurant is beautiful, the wait staff are all top notch, the food is amazing. My wife ordered the Coconut shrimp. When the shrimp came out, it looked like a piece of art. Couldn’t believe it tasted as good as it looked! The Pork BBQ panini was also amazing! 10/10 highly recommend! Everything about this place is top tier

The best meal we had in Maui was at Kula Bistro! It was extremely flavourful and tasty. We struggled to find a good spot to eat across the island the entire week we were there and this spot was the highlight by far. Highly recommend!

Rustic style restaurant. Enjoyable dishes, attentive service, and reasonable prices. The thai curry fish takes good inspiration on the thai curry but with a clear farmer's twist. The Mahi-mahi was excellent, but the mash potato only lukewarm, contrasting too much with the fish at a perfect serving temperature. I would still return because the varied vegetables on each plate were flavorful and what we all need for great health. Inside the restaurant, the setting is no frills, quite simple: the message is clear, the attention is on what is served, which is the most important.
