Food was on point but the friendly service was exceptional - feels like a family 'n friends run restaurant. Portion sizes reflect the prices, definitely felt stuffed and satisfied once done. This was one of our first Hawaiian food experiences and was not disappointed. Beef and pork ordered were cooked and seasoned very well.
Love this place they’ve grown since I last visited them. The menu is the same but the price has changed and gone up a bit. The staff are still friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious I really love their shoyu poke and kimchi fried rice. The servers will tell you the level of spiciness their food are. You must must try their dessert, they only have two but they’re sweet and delish! There are lots of seating but the food takes a while to get to you but worth the wait.
We wanted to try Hawaiian food so drove from Lahaina. Totally worth it. We had Hawaiian plate and squid lulau. They ask you to order at the counter and seat you. Great service and great food. They are definitely serious about safe dining experience and used disposable plates and utensils.
Definitely a place to go for local food. The Hawaiian plate was well worth the price. Most people split one and just ordered other items, it’s that much food. The Kalbi was soft and tasty. The poi was not sour but had good flavors like it was actually pounded there.
If you want some amazing plate lunches, this is the place to hit up. It’s a throw’s distance from the main airport. Locals eat here so you know it’s good. My wife and I tried the BBQ chicken plate and the fried chicken plate. The macaroni salad was the best we ever had (even better than Halo Hawaiin and L&L). The BBQ chicken was chargrilled and intensely satisfying to our tastebuds. The fried chicken was lightly bartered but crispy. We will definitely be back before we leave Maui.
